We can save Yuba City Schools from

ANOTHER $5.2 MILLION in cuts.

We can help and protect our students.

Please ACT TODAY.

SIGN THE PETITION TO PUT THE

SCHOOLS AND LOCAL PUBLIC SAFETY PROTECTION ACT

OF 2012 ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT.

 http://protectschoolsandpublicsafety.org/petition

Ø In the past four years, education has been cut $20 billion.  Passage of this initiative will avoid another $5.2 billion cut.

Ø YCUSD’s anticipated cut would be $5.2 million.

Ø Please help us get this initiative on the ballot in November so that the voters may decide to protect education and other vital services from further devastating cuts.

Ø This initiative would temporarily increase taxes by a small measure to make a significant contribution to protect education and public safety.  The temporary sales tax increase would be only ¼ % which is less than the ½ % increase that we were paying until last June.  The temporary income tax increase would impact only those most able to pay: an increase of 3% for those earning more than $1 million, 2% for those earning between $600,000 and $1 million and 1% for those earning between $500,000 - $600,000.

Ø The money goes directly to an education protection account to benefit pre K-12 education.  Learn more details about the initiative here.

Ø Drop by the YCTA Office this Wednesday afternoon to sign a petition. Click here for directions to our office.

Ø Click here to sign a petition.  Please ask your family and friends who are registered voters in California to sign a petition.  They must sign a petition specific to their county.   Please drop off your signed petitions at the YCTA Office.  Click here for directions to our office.
